The Ascension Economic Development Foundation is the charitable 501c3 foundation that is responsible for the diversification of the Ascension Parish economy by funding targeted economic development projects led by Ascension Economic Development Corporation. The foundation is comprised of a majority of the same board members of the AEDC, the non profit corporation formed by the Parish of Ascension and the Ascension Chamber in 2005 to operate the daily economic development activities for the Parish.

AEDC, with funds from the foundation, is currently developing and constantly refining a five year economic development plan for the parish called the “Ascension Advantage” Plan to diversify and strengthen the economy of Ascension Parish.
