The Ascension Economic Development Corporation (AEDC) is a non profit corporation responsible for economic development for the Parish of Ascension, the fastest growing parish in the Baton Rouge MSA and one of the fastest growing parishes in the State of Louisiana. The corporation in 2005 was formed to spearhead economic development for Ascension Parish.

The AEDC is a public-private partnership funded by the Parish of Ascension and the business community of Ascension Parish.  The AEDC Board consists of seven members appointed by the Parish President, Parish Council, and the Ascension Chamber.  Two members of the Parish Council serve ex-officio on the AEDC Board.
